Description
Fare S.A. is pleased to offer you an exceptional purchase located in Useldange. This former "Prieuré" offers a surprising domain (67a) entirely closed, with trees, carefully maintained bordered by the river Attert with a castle view.
Once through the double gate, you enter a vast circular courtyard covered with cobblestones. The pond makes a focal point for the house with its adjoining barns and a barn comprising 2 garages linked to the house by a wooden gallery.
On the ground floor of this unique property, a large tiled entrance hall (3.50m high ceiling) leads on the left side to a double living-room with its open old style fireplace (removable door between these 2 living rooms). From the first living room, the door of the period cupboard will open unexpectedly towards what could be either a dining-room or a bedroom.
To the right of this hall, a library is a good place to relax and read (integrated cupboard in old oak).
From this hall, a very luminous equipped kitchen thanks to an extension (winter garden) linking to the higher covered terrace and giving access to the garden (stairs).
Continuing on the right of this hall, a few steps lead to a large room dedicated to your parties (beautifully spacious extending up into the raftered roof / built-in dumb waiter communicating with the kitchen on the ground floor) and incorporating a warm living room area with central wood stove, it's exposed beams and a nice sheltered terrace from which you can admire the full expanse of garden.
At the other end of this festive room, open the double door to reveal the covered outdoor gallery connecting to the front of the property. The attic is accessible to the right.
A second hall, small and adjoining the first one from the entrance, leads to a small cloakroom area, a new shower room with toilet and sink (possible access to the room mentioned above).
From the kitchen, you go down to the laundry room with its old washbasin and sink. From this space escape to the idyllic garden and return to lose yourself through the "pigsties", a boiler room and old cellars lent charm by their cloister arches.
Let's go back to the entrance, take the oak staircase, visit the first floor with a modern bathroom (bathtub, Italian shower, two basins, toilet), a 1st bedroom with sink, a 2nd bedroom with shower room, a 3rd bedroom, a 4th bedroom (access to the attic and the shower room of the 2nd bedroom), a 5th and a 6th bedroom (cupboards built-in on the landing opposite these last 2 bedrooms).
The river which passes at the back of this extraordinary property is the Attert into which runs the stream running down the side of the garden.
Mouldings, ceiling roses, antique built-in cupboards, generous room heights plus these natural external features combine to give a "coup de coeur" to lovers of style, charm and soul.

After the suppression of the Jesuit order, the lords of Ansembourg became owners of the farm. The cloister arches in the large barn adjoining the house and in the cellars are the only existing visible remains.
